I don't have a serious health issue, nor do any of my loved ones. But I *have* been living in a fearful state, and as Peggy noted below, there are no coincidences. I came to your site because of the post about your new home, then this link called to me. A gem. No matter where I find myself now in the ups and downs of every day, the economy, the vicissitudes of life, I can step into that small quiet space within and repeat "All is well"... and recenter myself into gratitude of what I have, what I am and all that is yet to come.

Re: A “New” Definition of Success

I love the Rachelle's office is in a treehouse! What an amazing abundance of GREEN! I'm sure that being immersed in nature in that way will bring many reflective moments for Rachelle as she sits at her desk.
Hearty congratulations on your new home and the joy that you all carried into it.

Re: A “New” Definition of Success

Beautiful new home, Ben. Congratulations to you and Rachelle! We do, indeed carry our joy with us, but the nature of our space and environment certainly can enhance our mood, as I'm sure this lovely peaceful view does.

Re: The Power of 10 Minutes A Day

Great ideas Ben. I agree - any habit or routine, positive or negative can be created or broken with repetition. 10 Minutes a day is indeed all it takes to create a new pattern of excellence in areas you're passionate about. I've learned to "work backwards" from goals with this technique - I visualize where I want to be, and what steps would be necessary to achieve this. From there, I make sure these steps are part of my life, every single day - even if just for a moment. To answer your question, the one area I could devote additional 10 minutes a day into that would create a difference would be meditation and reflection.

Re: Letting Go of Fear…

So glad this blessed you, Peggy - thank you for sharing. Love and healing to you and your husband!

Re: Letting Go of Fear…

On the way home from ICU tonight where I left my husband, immuno-suppressed for 3.5 years following his liver transplant (a living donation from our son) in a raging septicemic infection . . . I heard a song called "All is well." The tune and lyrics calmed me. Then, I read this article in my email . . . probably this is NOT a coincidence, but an important message . . . Thanks for your wisdom . . .
